GPA Coatings – Graffiti Proofer, Anti-Stick, and Vinyl Ester Systems

GPA Coatings recently underwent a successful ownership transition. MMC Finance guided me throughout this process by creating a detailed company valuation report and conducting thorough due diligence procedures. Uncover the best info about GPA Coatings.

Superhard (H > 40 GPa), ternary transition metal diboride coatings deposited via PECVD have proven biocompatibility when tested in hip joints with bovine serum as a lubricant; however, wear track analysis revealed some roughness and debris accumulation issues.

Graffiti Proofer

Graffiti Proofer is an all-weather nonstick coating that repels paint, permanent markers, stickers, and adhesives. This clear, UV-stabilized chemical and abrasion-resistant coating provides long-term graffiti protection on concrete, masonry, stucco surfaces such as stucco tiles or primed metal surfaces, and artistic murals; removal can be done quickly using dry cloth, tape, or any alkaline or citrus cleaner.

Past-generation SEI products have been demonstrated effective for half a decade or more in actual applications worldwide (such as the $5 billion Alameda Corridor project spanning 35 miles from Long Beach to Los Angeles). SEI’s most advanced anti-graffiti technologies bring enhanced application and performance capabilities, as well as environmental and end-use benefits, to the market.

GPA-300 Graffiti Proofer from this company is a water-clear fluoropolymer-based graffiti-proofing solution with a fast curing time that is ideal for spray, brush, or roller application. Highly durable and flexible in its application process, damaged surfaces can be repaired by simply respraying without extensive surface preparation if damaged – meeting ASTM graffiti resistance requirements efficiently and available in both bulk and aerosol form.

Beardow Adams has created Naturacoat, an environmentally friendly coating manufactured in Sweden that provides one-coat sacrificial graffiti prevention. This eco-friendly solution protects private, public, and historic locations, as well as high-profile buildings, against graffiti and pollution, such as smog.

Permashield Premium, the company’s polyurethane protective coating for concrete, masonry, and plaster surfaces, now comes equipped with graffiti-resistant technology. Backed by a 10-year warranty and promises multiple cleanings over multiple taggings and cleanings while protecting against spray paint, marker pens, crayons, oil-based paint, and acid attacks – making it an excellent barrier against spray painting as well as markers, marker pens, crayons, oil-based paint and acid attacks. Easy cleaning means quick application techniques like spray, brush, or foam roller, and all while VOC-compliant CARB products have even been used on some of the most significant structures worldwide!

Anti-Stick

GPA-200 Graffiti Proofer Anti-Stick Coating is a highly durable, high-performance, high-performance fluoro-coating with unsurpassed hydrophobic, oleophobic, and self-cleaning properties, as well as superior anti-stick properties and release-release characteristics. Utilizing an innovative vehicle system, this innovative coating offers exceptional hydrophobic, oleophobic, self-cleaning properties as well as superior anti-stick and release characteristics – offering unsurpassed hydrophobicity, oleophobicity, and self-cleaning properties as well as superior anti-stick characteristics – providing unsurpassed hydrophobic, oleophobic and self-cleaning properties as well as release characteristics – impervious to UV degradation while providing excellent weathering and abrasion resistance as well as resisting graffiti, hydrocarbons corrosion and various chemicals. GPA 200’s self-cleaning capabilities repel most spray paints, thus discouraging vandals from further spraying.

This product is transparent and contains no VOC. It is suitable for interior and exterior use and may be applied by brush, roller, or airless spray. Before application, it should always be read through all labels and MSDS information.

Chemical Resistant

GPA FLOORING offers an assortment of chemical-resistant systems to meet the requirements of various environments. Our epoxy siloxane topcoats provide resistance against oils, acids, and chemicals, while for those needing maximum protection, we provide our Vinyl Ester System. This system features both an epoxy siloxane basecoat and vinyl ester topcoat layer for ultimate chemical spill protection with additional impact and abrasion resistance against spalling or cracking concrete floors.

Recently, we introduced an innovative coating system known as GPA-300. It’s available as an aerosol spray and suitable for application on surfaces including steel, aluminum, plastic, and glass. It provides fast drying times, UV stability up to 500F, heat stability, and chemical resistance, in addition to resisting paint, permanent markers, stickers, and graffiti.

The hardness of coatings can be measured using penetration resistance tests performed using a standard indenter. Unfortunately, however, some researchers have criticized this method because the tip is never perfectly sharp, deforming and blunting the coating during tests [25].

To improve the quality of abrasion resistance tests, we have introduced an innovative system using surface power density (SPD) measurements. This enables comparison with data from prior studies and shows that results are generally distributed with an estimated standard deviation of 2.5.

Coatings deposited under different nitrogen pressures demonstrate that hardness increases gradually to approximately 40 GPa (see Figure 2). At higher hardnesses, elastic recovery declines while adhesion to the substrate decreases; this effect depends on deposition conditions and the composition of the coating.

Abrasion test measurements have demonstrated that the SHD of coatings deposited under conditions of temperature, substrate, and bias voltage is dependent on several variables, such as Tg, force criticality (around 95 N), and nitrogen pressure (3-4 Pa). A higher SHD can be observed at temperatures below Tg or under critical forces of about 95 N than that found under lower nitrogen pressures (3-1 Pa or lower).

UV Resistant

GPA Coatings offers an environmentally friendly range of industrial and commercial nonstick coatings. Their nanotechnological coatings feature UV stabilizing components, which create durable, scratch-resistant films. Furthermore, these water-clear products can withstand temperatures over 500F while boasting extreme chemical resistance—they can even be applied with aerosol spray for easy application on nearly all surfaces! Plus, various formulas are available.

Many types of abrasion tests have been conducted to ascertain how durable coatings are, with results depending on both the curing process and the substrate type. Coatings that were hardened using traditional mercury and gallium lamps tended to have lower abrasion resistance compared to those hardened using LED bulbs; the weight loss of samples submitted to an Abratator Taber abraser indicated their resistance.

Coatings’ scratch resistance varies based on basecoat quantity and layer density; more layers and higher surface power density result in more excellent scratch resistance. Furthermore, scratch resistance depends on which board was used during testing; wood species such as beech or pine have an impactful impact on coatings’ scratch resistance.

Research has demonstrated that coatings combining crosslinked silica and organic functionalities can be both rigid and flexible, with the silica component providing rigidity while its organic counterpart offers flexibility. Furthermore, such molecular hybrids can withstand steel abrasion resistance, making this material an attractive alternative to epoxy.

A polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (GMPOSS) with two 3-glycidyloxypropyl and six 3-methacryloxypropyl groups can be cured into wear-resistant coatings that are hard below its glass transition temperature but soft and flexible above it, such as when applied to PET substrates without cracking, peeling, or cracking while maintaining their shape—comparable to standard varnishes in terms of their abrasion resistance.
